There are often a number of questions regarding the bioactive compounds naturally occurring in Kale. Over the past 7 years, we have done extensive research under the guidance of the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency). Our drinkme products, HPP, and “Kale under Pressure” have been the focus of our research. There are many reasons to believe the bioactive compounds in Kale can be naturally toxic, and these compounds can be enhanced once HPP is applied. Our research has verified this is not the case with drinkme products. We have measured enzyme activities both before and after HPP, and can ensure these toxic compounds are NOT present in our products.
