What is HPP?

High Pressure Processing …is an exciting technology that uses extreme pressure to preserve food products. It has been in the food application for many years in the USA, Europe, Australia, and Asia. It is effective in removing all pathogens except mold- that is why the food products must be kept in the fridge.

HPP is the most effective method of preserving food. In terms of beverages….it is the last step in manufacturing. The beverages are bottled, and then sealed bottles get placed into a water bath pressure chamber. This cycle goes under a set time and pressure and once removed will be ready to drink within 24hours.
